Cousins Insurance represents many different insurance carriers as well as many other companies through managing general agencies (MGAs), Fortified, and broker agencies. Our experienced staff, who all reside in and support our local communities, is one of our biggest strengths. We get to know you and put your needs first. It is important to us to provide products and services that offer peace of mind and help put families’ lives back to together after a loss.

Our History
The Wetumpka office was established in 1914 as Airey Insurance Agency. In 1962, Mr. Charles Cousins purchased the agency and changed the company’s name to Cousins Insurance Agency. After his passing, the agency was purchased by Mr. William M. Gray in 1975. Joseph (Joe) D. Bennett purchased and ran the agency from 1993 to 2022, after having been with the agency since 1976. The Chelsea location was established in 2010. In 2022, Joe’s son, Michael J. Bennett, purchased the agency. Michael has worked at the agency since 1998.
